Scope of Work:

The project comprised the following key buildings and features:

  1. 3D model development and refinement

  2. Architectural geometry modification

  3. Material, finishes, Lighting and camera composition

  4. Existing site, environmental modelling, and Landscaping development

  5. Photorealistic renderings, and Post-production

Client Inputs

The client provided:
→ Architectural plans
→ Material references
→ Required camera views
→ Basic 3D model of the proposed building
→ Design information for the development
→ Site and surrounding context information
These inputs served as the foundation for developing the final architectural visualizations.

Project Description

The project involved creating high-end architectural visualizations for a proposed residential property based in NSW. The objective here wasn’t just limited to showcase the architectural design but also to present the development within a realistic representation of its existing urban surroundings.

The supplied 3D model required further development to align accurately with the architectural plans. Materials, landscaping, lighting, environmental elements and camera compositions were subsequently refined to create a cohesive and photorealistic visual representations.

Challenges

1. Aligning the Existing 3D Model with Architectural Documentation
Although the client provided a basic 3D model, several architectural elements required modification to accurately match the supplied plans and design intent.

2. Managing Multiple Design Revisions
The project required four rounds of revisions covering modelling, architectural elements, materials, landscaping, site context, camera views and the overall visual appearance.

3. Recreating the Existing Site Context
One of the key challenges was placing the proposed development convincingly within its real-world surroundings. The visualization needed to establish an accurate relationship between the building, neighbouring structures, roads, vegetation and the broader urban environment.

Solutions

Accurate 3D Model Development
The supplied model was reviewed against the architectural plans and refined to ensure that the building geometry accurately reflected the documented design.

Realistic Material Development
Client-provided material references were converted into the realistic digital materials by refining textures, surface characteristics, reflections and finishes.

Existing Environment Reconstruction
Google Maps and available site information were used to develop a 3D representation of the surrounding environment. This helped in positioning the proposed development within its real-world context and establish a more convincing relationship with the surrounding buildings, roads and vegetation.

Iterative Landscaping Development
Landscaping was developed and refined through multiple iterations to achieve a realistic and visually balanced setting around the proposed development.

Controlled Lighting and Camera Composition
Lighting and camera views were carefully developed to highlight the building’s architectural form, materials, landscaping and connection with the surrounding environment.

High-End Rendering and Post-Production
The final scenes were rendered and enhanced through post-production to achieve polished, photorealistic imagery suitable for presentation and marketing purposes.

Output Delivered

The final visualizations was successfully delivered in less than 10 Days and communicated the proposed residential development, its architectural character, material options, landscaping and relationship with the existing NSW surroundings.

2 High-End Photorealistic Architectural Renders
